Celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday at the British High Commission, Head Chef Nelly Robinson road-tripped to Canberra to cater for the who’s who of politics.
Serving over 350 people, including Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove and Defence Minister Marise Payne, Nelly put his signature British twist on canapés. Guests enjoyed quail scotch eggs, vine tomato and Parmesan savory marshmallows, pressed ham chips with green pea purée, and passionfruit bombs.
With live music aplenty, Morris dancing, a lone bagpiper, and God Save the Queen ringing out into the night, Queen Lizzy was well-celebrated Down Under. We can’t help but feel she would have been a little bit chuffed with the whole affair! #goodoldlizzie
